Build it close to the factories, fields, or storage with the resources you want to deliver.

Connect automated storage by a belt to the catapult so that resources can go in.

Build catapult storage at the target area where the catapult will shoot the resources.

Storage can be automated and connected to a belt or basic one for characters taking resources manually from there.
